| production method | 1. manganese and sulfur are mixed in an equimolar ratio, added into a quartz tube under vacuum, sealed, heated at 800 ℃ for 48-60h, and cooled to obtain MnS. 2. Add a small amount of iodine to the equimolar mixture of manganese and sulfur, put it into a quartz tube, close it, heat it in a furnace with a temperature gradient of 800~900 ℃, and cool it to obtain the product. 3. Alpha type: Heat and boil the manganese dichloride aqueous solution containing a small amount of potassium oxalate, add a slight excess of ammonia water, and then pass in hydrogen sulfide while it is hot to start to get a mixture of green and red, and continue heating to turn dark green. In order to remove coprecipitated sulfur, it is advisable to co-boil with the newly prepared (NH4)2S dilute solution. After repeating this operation, filter, wash with hydrogen sulfide aqueous solution, ethanol, and ether in turn, and finally dry at 120°C in a vacuum. β-type: 50g of manganese acetate Mn(CH3COO)2. 4H2O is dissolved in 300mL of water, cooled, and hydrogen sulfide is introduced. Most of the generated manganese sulfide becomes red-brown precipitate and sinks to the bottom of the vessel, and some form a beautiful red shell on the glass wall. The precipitate stored in the bottom of the vessel is decanted and washed with hydrogen sulfide aqueous solution, finally washed with ethanol and ether, and vacuum dried at 80 ℃. γ type: 20g of manganese dichloride MnCl2 · 4H2O is taken in advance and boiled, then dissolved in 500mL of water with high purity nitrogen for a long time, an appropriate amount of ammonium chloride is added, heated to boiling, hydrogen sulfide is introduced while a slight excess of concentrated ammonia water is added to precipitate manganese hydroxide. When hydrogen sulfide continues to be introduced, manganese sulfide is separated from the surface of the precipitate from orange to vermilion, so it is advisable to turn the precipitate to flesh red. Use hydrogen sulfide aqueous solution to decant and wash twice, then continue to introduce hydrogen sulfide, add 10% ammonia to heat and boil for two days. Then it is decanted and washed several times with hydrogen sulfide aqueous solution. Under the condition of avoiding contact with air as much as possible, it is filtered in a nitrogen stream, washed with ethanol and ether, and dried in vacuum at 80°C. When sulfur precipitates at the same time, it can be boiled together with carbon disulfide in a nitrogen stream to remove it. |
